Huang Wei - Hu Ming, 1995
1995 National Individual Championship · 1995 · Huang Wei (red) vs Hu Ming (black)
Huang Wei takes red against the reigning women’s star Hu Ming and produces a controlled, positional win over one of the strongest players of the era.
The soldiers clash early, on move twelve, and the fighting is concentrated in the teens. Huang keeps two cannons and the sounder structure and grinds the game out. Beating Hu Ming in her prime was no small achievement.
